Giveaway and Review: ARC of Matthew by Emma Lang/Beth Williamson

Matthew

by Emma Lang

A man learns to hold what is his…

It is a vast spread in the eastern wilds of the newly independent Republic of Texas, the ranch their parents fought for … and died for. To the eight Graham siblings, no matter how much hard work or hard love it takes, life is unthinkable without family…

In the wake of his parents’ murder, Matthew Graham must take the reins at the Circle Eight. He also needs to find a wife in just thirty days, or risk losing it all. Plain but practical, Hannah Foley seems the perfect bride for him . . . until after the wedding night.

Their marriage may make all the sense in the world, but neither one anticipates the jealousies that will result, the treacherous danger they’re walking into, or the wildfire of attraction that will sweep over them, changing their lives forever.

So truth be told, I do not read westerns, let alone western historical romance. Maybe once in a while I will read something with a hot cover, like Matthew, but not often. And it has to be one of the Wicked Writers for me to even get that far.

However, I absolutely loved this story. It’s a true love story about hardship, kindness, and the power of love. It’s was sweet and spicy like Chinese food. Yes I know I sound sappy but, it was the sweetest sexiest novel I have read in a while.  I thought the roughness of Matthew was well partnered with the tenderness of Hannah. It  just made me wanna cry.  They married for convience and loved blosomed anyway. I think that Ms. Lang has a good thing going with this.I hope to read more from her in the future.

I find cowboys very hot! They always seem to come across as very down-to-heart, hardworking and loyal. It’s part of the rugged appeal 🙂

Hello Beth/Emma! I adore cowboys. I grew up on a farm in Oklahoma so I come by it honestly. I love their work ethic and the fact that they aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. Matthew sounds lovely! I can’t wait to read it.

Rayna ~ Thank you so much for the review! I’m touched you read it (since it’s not your genre of choice), even more that you really liked it. I shall be smiling ALL day, wearing my kickin’ red boots. Woot!

Cowboys have always been hot – right from when I watched John Wayne movies and also Bonanza sitting at my grandpas knee!! What has been even better is finding writers who love to write great stories about hardworking, ruggedly handsome and sexy cowboys! All I can say is keep em coming Beth!
