On the fourth day of Christmas my sometimes loving spouse said to me.
“How many damned copies do you need woman?” with a disgusted face surveying my ginormous bookshelves.
“As many as it takes,” I replied.
“What does that even MEAN!” he exclaimed. “I think you need to get rid of some of these books. I will get some boxes for you so we can donate them.”
I froze at that. Slowly turned and looked at my husband. Grabbing my very sharp letter opener I said, “If touch anything, I will un-man you and feed it to you before you die of blood loss.”
With his hand in the air in a pleading gesture he slowly backed out of my office and closed the door with a soft click.
“Man, what a crazy bitch.” I heard. “Yeah and you married me so I am YOUR crazy bitch”, I replied strongly through the closed door.
So today is a freebie. I am giving away 4 copies of Erin Kellison’s Shadow Bound the first in Shadow series, its her debut novel. All you have to do is leave a answer to the question: What do you think of my alter ego, Kiki Stilletto? Some people don’t know that I have one. I do it to write at another blog called the Girls Guide to Surviving the Apocalypse, This has nothing to do with this one plus I think that my cynicism is catching. So I need to convert a entirely new audience.
I chose it to pay homage to two of my fan favorite authors, Kiki Howell and Trixie Stilletto. If they were to get to have a child together it would be me I think. LOL. I like their writing style and the subtle humor.
Some people will do anything to avoid it. Even trade their immortal souls for endless existence.
Secretly, inexorably, they are infiltrating our world, sucking the essence out of unsuspecting victims with their hideous parody of a kiss.
Adam Thorne founded the Institute to study and destroy his monster of a brother, but the key to its success is held in the pale, slender hand of a woman on the run. There is something hauntingly different about Talia O’Brien, her unknowing sensuality, her uncanny way of slipping into Shadow.
This is the place between life and what comes after – a dark forest of fantasy, filled with beauty, peril, mystery. And Talia is about to open the door.
