I was wary… even with the extensively hot guy on the cover! I am not a huge fan of novellas as I prefer to get more involved with the characters. Novellas tend to leave me feeling rushed and like I never connected to the story line or the people in it. This particular novella had a another strike against it: I had not read any of the books of the series so I was coming in blind and playing catch up… with that said, I am just as shocked as you are to say that I really liked it! So much that now I am going to go back and read all the books of the series! The author did a great job catching you up with the relationship of the characters, why they feel the way they do, and the reason that there simply had to be that scorching sex scene. In just a few pages she had me hooked! A surprised thumbs UP!
