Sins of the Demon
Mass Market Paperback
Sex:2 (urban fantasy not a lot of sex)
Plot:5
Overall enjoyment:4
The homicide beat in Louisiana isn’t just terrifying, it’s demonic. Detective Kara Gilligan of the supernatural task force has the ability to summon demons to her aid, but she herself is pledged to serve a demonic lord. And now, people who’ve hurt Kara in the past are dropping dead for no apparent reason. To clear her name and save both the demon and human worlds, she’s in a race against the clock and in a battle for her life that just may take her to hell and back.
I love how Ms. Rowland builds her worlds, and I like the police stuff. I really think that there could have been a little more interaction between Kara and Ryan. But I can understand the characters choices. The bad guy in this book, I did not see coming. Perhaps there was some fore-shadowning but honestly I was not paying any attention to it. I was too busy going “WTF!” and “Your SHITTING ME!” The twist and turns got to me and I just stopped noticing the detail and was trying to play catch up. There was a lot going on in this book and then the ending is a dozy.
Continue on if you want to see some (but not all) of the spoilers I have the *wahh* button on.

Now that I have your attention.
I am half way through Sins of the Demon and I have to vent. If you have read it great you know where I am going from. If not then go back now. You have been warned.
So far let me get this straight feel free to comment if I get it wrong and I am wigging out for absofricken-lutley nothing.
So here is what I know so far:
Eilahn got a cat.
Kara got the hots for the new guy, Tracy.
Zach was/is being a dick by not talking to Kara.
And she trashed yet another car.
All that was before chapter five.
But the good news is that the cat helped them figure out whom was a summoner or not. Evidently, cats don’t like summoners but they love demons.
Oh and some more huge effin news, which the book hints to pretty damn big, a baby has been conceived. I am not telling you who the parents are, but this has changed some things.
So, I have said a few spoilers but I won’t tell you the entire book. Now my questions are few but they are huge.
Why does the remaining family members of the six dead summoners always try to kill Kara?
If someone took something from you but you got it back wouldn’t you try to protect it better?
Rhaz, needs to start acting like he wants to keep Kara but sometimes I wonder!?
I thought that since we now know Ryan is or was a demon lord, what happens now, business as usual even withKara gone?
Oh and WTF her best friend is pregnant by Zach, whom is a demon! Are they gonna have demon-human hybrid babies that try to take of the world and is Ryan gonna finally find out he is a demon lord when Zach has to tell him that he is going to be a father. Oh boy, I wanna be a fly on the wall for that talk.
Okay so some of these questions I will pose to you my fellow readers, let’s speculate.
